2012 was a good movie in terms of special effects. but the plot and non-stop on-the-edge- action just blew the whole thing out of proportion. it was just too fake for me, i guess is what i was tryin to say. sorry i'm not a good poster

2012: great effects, not so interesting story

Bad leutenant of new orleans or somehting like that..with Nicolas cage :

3/10. The story was like taken from a cheesy 80's french movie with Belmondo or something (the old skool people might know who belmondo is).

Weird directing too.

2 more movies like that from Cage and he ll be looking for a new career...

How about steve (sandra bullock). She played very well (although i m not a fan of Bullock). But it wasnt anything special of a movie. 5.9/10

yeah I understood what he said. Special effects do not make movies enjoyable anymore than graphics make video games fun. You need the whole package. It's like decking out an ugly over-weight whore in expensive jewelery/clothing. Only those will low selfesteem/intelligence will succumb to the allure.

Worth the watch you say, Myxo? Really?

lolol

nick cage kicks ass in fACe off tho you gotta admit. or maybe ya dont but still.

And yes, Avatar is good. I have a strong feeling it will not get the praise it deserves. I mean yeah, the story is full of cliches, but cliches are good if they're done right and here they are done impeccably.

^ the only thing it seems to have going for it that i've read online are the special effects lol but this is definitely one movie I want to see for myself. glad to hear some positive feedback for a change.

So I saw Brothers. 9/10 style. It was really well done, but fucking depressing.
And after said depressing movie, I saw "Everybody's Fine". Which also ended up being a goddamn sad movie. It totally looked like it would be a laugh because of the trailer I saw in the movies. 8/10? 7/10? I dunno. Wasn't much to it, just bloody sad, and I dig DeNiro

Barbarella

Barbarella is a 1968 erotic science fiction film based on the French Barbarella comics created by Jean-Claude Forest. The film was directed by Roger Vadim and stars Jane Fonda, who was Vadim's wife at the time.

In the 40th century, Barbarella (Jane Fonda) is assigned by the President of Earth (Claude Dauphin) to retrieve Doctor Durand-Durand (Milo O'Shea) from the planet SoGo in order to save the earth. On her quest, Barbarella is seduced by a resident of SoGo (Ugo Tognazzi as Mark Hand), who introduces her to penetrative intercourse, something she is unaware of, since civilized people of Barbarella's society find their sexual release through pharmaceuticals. In turn, she seduces an angel named Pygar (John Phillip Law), and overloads a torture device called the Excessive (or "Ex-sex-sive") Machine, which kills through sexual pleasure.

Smoke a gram of hash first.

I watched Fight Club and Homegrown today.

Fight Club is one of my favorite books of all-time, and the movie is great too, but I'm sure most of you already know that. It gets a 9.5/10

Homegrown is a decent movie, it's advertised as a comedy, but I didn't find many part of it funny...it's a solid movie though. 7/10
