I just got my disc on friday. I guess they are working on a firmware update so that the disc will be unecessary in the future.

netflix 2-movie blu-ray & unlimited online streaming: 13.99/month
paying for online video game multiplayer and additional online services: shitty

for everything, theres PS3

Because the xbox hasn't had this for over a year. Can the PS3 do satellite tv on demand yet?

Nothing, it streams to the dashboard. The subscription isn't free, but has sports channels and shit though.

ah so the dish is free or its not really satellite is it?

theres various pc programs that can be downloaded that will stream an assortment of channels to the ps3.

It's via a satellite company called Sky, who if you already have an existing dish with them installed at your home, give you access on the xbox for free. But indeed, you're just technically streaming their content digitally.
