Recently rediscovered TedTalks and have been watching a few when I can over the past week or so... anyone else think they are freakin awesome?

Fairly sure I first discovered them through a link on this site, but can't find any reference now, so I'm making a new post!

For those who aren't onto it... here is a link...

TED: Ideas worth spreading

Its a series of lectures by some of the worlds greatest minds on some of the worlds most intriguing and important issues.
Some really amazing talks on there.

Any recommendations?

My favourites so far have been...

Jill Bolte Taylor - My Stroke of Insight
Brian Greene on String Theory
Elizabeth Gilbert - A different way to think about creative genius

Loads more that I can't think of/find at the moment.

In fact I think the only one I don't want to watch is Bono... because I can't stand the smug little hypocrite... and maybe Richard Branson, but at least he might be a bit interesting.

Meh, get on it... some seriously thought provoking stuff!

Aye, plus gives you lots of ideas of new things to read up about!

Apologies also, just noticed the stickied educational vids thread about 3 posts above this one... with a post about TED in there... not the one I first noticed but still, I can be so docile sometimes... for some reason I always ignore stickied threads... D'oh!

Meh, TED rocks so hard it deserves its own thread!
