Bringing my laptop back to speed

What can I do to restore speed to my laptop? It just seems a bit bogged. I don't have too many apps running, but my hard drive has bordered on full for quite a while.

Any suggestions?

I would agree with reinstalling the OS, and you probably want to keep at least like 20+ gb free on the harddrive with the operating system.

i'm about to send this dell back. on the day of arrival the monitor doesn't even work and the cpu fan is ridiculously loud and shuts off after a few hours and runs the pc hot...

paid 450 bones for this piece -_-
