How to transfer iPod recorded video to computer

After the Christmas, you may get a new iPod Nano 5 Generation (with video camera). You took some funny videos with it and you want to transfer the recorded video to computer, edit the record video with Windows Movie Maker or upload them to YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, etc. It’s easy to do that, and this guide will show you the detailed steps to make full use of the iPod recorded video.

Step1. In order to transfer the video computer, you have to enable iPod disk use at first. Plug in your iPod Nano to computer, run iTunes and select the iPod in the device list, go to the Summary tab. Then you will see the “Enable disk use”, check it and click the Apply button. It’s the same for Mac user to enable iPod disk use.

Step2. Because iTunes prevent you copying the non-purchased file from iPod to computer, you need an iPod transfer software to copy the iPod video, I have tried many iPod transfers, and this iPod transfer works best for the iPod Nano recorded video. I have scanned it with Norton Virus Protector, it’s safe without any virus and spyware. Download and install it, connect your iPod to computer. Then run the iPod Transfer, it will search the iPod automatically; and all files on iPod will return in a list.

Step3. Choose the recorded video that you want to transfer, and click “Export” to begin the transfer; it can help you copy the recorded video to computer or iTunes, that’s all. You can also use it to transfer music and photos from iPod to computer, it's really use when your computer crashed and you lost all the files. f you are Mac user, this iPod transfer also has Mac version, the operation is the same, enable the iPod disk use at first, then choose the recorded videos and export them to your Mac.

Once you transfer the video from iPod to computer successfully. the iPod recorded video is H.264 video, and YouTube, MySpace, Facebook both support AVI and MPEG video. If you want to upload the recorded video to YouTube, Myspace or Facebook. You have to convert the video to the right format at first. I have tried many video converters, and this video converterworks best for the iPod recorded video.

Download and install the video converter, then click “Open File” to import your iPod recorded video, click the profile to choose the “AVI – Audio Video Interleaved (.avi)”, and then click “Convert”, it will take a few minutes to convert the video. And the converted video will save in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrat or\My Documents\Cucusoft\C onverterOutput
Then you can log in YouTube and upload the video, done.

As owners of mac and ipod, we are common to get files from other places for ipod, then problem occoured, we can do neither import ipod to itunes mac nor import ipod to mac. Luckily, we find this transpod to resolve problem above easily. No matter what your settings with your mac, you can just resolve your big problem with few clicks.
