DSL vs Cable

What do you have? I currently have DSL but I'm calling in a few minutes to get it disconnected so I can get cable..my speed test is posted below and it is pretty fucking slow now that I actually see my speed in numbers...wow...

I got DSL when it first became available in my area and was the fastest thing around...now it seems like DSL is the 56k of today...

just got the cable hooked up...definitely so much faster than dsl

that test is cool, i got an a for ping test and 9.91 mb upload.

ive alwasy thought cable was much better than dsl but i never had dsl so i guess im just happy with cable

What's shitty is the fastest cable in the US costs a shit load but it's still slower than the average in almost all the Asian countries.

This is while using my wireless 3g mobile network modem on a pre-paid plan since I'm working away from home again.

When I'm at home I'm using a 20Mb/s ADSL2+ line which is far better then any cable provider in Australia.

Hopefully one day we'll get the promised FTTN (fibre to the node) network which is currently being rolled out slowly around the capital cities.
