Gaming (and/or) nice Bluetooth mouse
I own a 15" MacBook Pro and my Kensingen (sp?) Bluetooth mouse shit the bed after being beaten to death (literally) by my kids for two years. So being a Mac guy and trying the new Magic Mouse (HATED the previous Mighty Mouse) at the Apple Store and thought I loved it's gestural support, etc. However, after having it for a few days I quickly realized it's ergonomics is terrible and the tracking was sub par to say the least. Expose was not even fully functional with an Apple mouse under APPLE HARDWARE/SOFTWARE (software sux). All ll I wanted was a REALLY GOOD BT mouse for my MBP and was wiling to pay - I would spend around the same as the Magic Mouse. So I did some research and found the Razer Orochi which was reported to be super accurate and was more than I needed (even sooo much better if everything worked under OSX - more to come on this), which I always like - upgrade proof relatively speaking. Now I just read a VERY current article where Razer said they were focusing their drivers at Macs from now on out (and said they would go retro models as well, up to a point), that they are promising OS X full button control, which I obviously cant wait for. The four present side buttons are useless. I can set the wheel to aluminate the scroll wheel i use which looks cook (battery life much?)Nevertheless, when Razer updates their Mac drivers I would like to be able to assign the following:
1) The two left side buttons (righty, thumb finger), One would be for page up (Safari) and the other for page down. 2)On the right side, one of the two right buttons would be to "All Windows" 3) The second button on the right I will need to think of something else cool. I'm sure I'll have plenty of time before Razer finally gets their act together for the Mac. I feel I must explain that right click brings up contextual menus like Windows. Also, I was able to program the center click button to "Show Desktop" in Expose. Thats was very important to me so when Razer gets their stuff together it will mean a really insane BT/wired mouse. But this thing is super comfortable in the hand (extremely important) and DOES track AMAZINGLY well. It has a can go 2000 dpi via Bluetooth, which is why I got it. It includes a nice braided USB cord if you really need the 4000 dpi when gaming - you do need to plug it in its' flush (e.g. neat) adapter which it does easily and doesn't look out of place when locked in (also needs to be plugged in to set up the current limited OSX options under it's options). I also love the split scroll wheel where it naturally conforms to your fingers. Also includes a decent carrying case. This need to be done SOON! Firmware Mac update, that is! Here it is - I got it yesterday: ![]() Whatcha using/recommend for Bluetooth?

Just an observation: It amazes me people have had little interest in this topic since a mouse, trackball, whatever, is used everyday, all day by most. Especially considering all the gamers here. Is this not an essential part of a persons computer experience, whether good or bad? I know for me, getting a really good mouse to replace my old one was essential.

lol who still uses trackball mice?
I've been using Razer (Copperhead) for the past three years now, flawlessly. They're awesome. My mate's got the same as you, the Orochi, it is a pretty badass mouse admittedly. The charging station's awesome too. Working key mapping ftw also .

Still? Since when did they cure carpal tunnel syndrome? You act like this is dead technology. There are three people in my office who had them special ordered for them b/c of this. My wife sleeps with a cast on her arm on a pillow b/c of carpal tunnel syndrome. Also, some people just prefer them.
Yeah, Razers kick ass - no charging station with mine though. That Magic Mouse sucked ass comparably.

Actually yeah my bad, we call the regular oldschool mice, with the weighted ball (which is dead technology), trackballs too, for some stupid reason, didn't occur to me you meant trackballs. I could see how controlling it with your thumb would help CT, as opposed to your wrist.
