I know we've got to have some nice Home theater set ups around here, let's see what you guys have. Nothing like lightin' up and enjoying a good flick!

I have 2 analog tv's no converter...and a few weeks ago my 30 dollar marvel, (Artec ATSC/QAM digital usb tv) burned it's little self up.

So now it's a Sony Vaio with built in speakers. (But sometimes I hook the sound into my 300 watt Kenwood w/Optimus stage monitors.) like for my Rammstein vids, and when the room needs dusted.

In fact I can pretty much shake the entire apt bldg @ half volume.

I usually buy pre-viewed movies from blockbuster, ocassionally go to the theatre, and rarely...very rarely rent.

A year ago I threw out over 150 VHS movies.I have somewhere around 100 now, either as .avi rips or DVD...but mostly DVD's.

My setup is pretty similar to yours.

42" Toshiba 1080p
--HDMI to Satellite TV
--HDMI to PS3 [replaced HD with 350g and installed Linux as other OS boot], also wirelessly networked to main PC for streaming
--VGA to bargain PC modded with 1 TB HD and 1 GB graphics for media storage and gaming [also networked]
--Optically connected to Sony receiver 5.1 with an additional Mirage 12" sub

I luvs it.

Have a few blu-rays, but nearing 2 TB in torrented movies alone.

here is the setup i designed for my dads house, we built that house like 4 years ago and when my dad told me about it he let me design the entertainment stuff for the whole house. i lived in these chairs for like 3 years before i finally moved out and got started on college hahaha

sorry its a little dusty he he. The chairs are awesome and recline back when u push the button on the handle!
Speakers are mounted in the ceilings and walls totally hidden 3 in front, 3 in the middle, 3 behind, and a sub woofer built into the wall next to the TV u can see on the bottom right of first pic
the TV is a 60" LG plasma we bought about 4 years ago not sure the exact model on it anymore (i could find out by taking it off the wall mount but don't care too much at this point)

Yea for now, only have a few games and don't use the PSN that much.

But I'll probably cave in sooner or later because I honestly rarely use it anymore. Mostly did it just to do it and to play around with linux at first. Haven't touched it in a while though.

I've also got my graphics machine networked into mine with a few externals for my d/l's. I think I'm sitting just under 1 TB of movies but most are 1080 so I've probably only got 40-50 movies there.

Nice job! The in wall speakers look clean. The screen shots aren't to bad either!

I just wired up some outdoor speakers to my back porch, had a good weekend! Put on some music, lit up, drank a few beers, and smoked some ribs! Perfect ending to a long weekend.
