warzone 2100 - 9/10
overlooked and underrated oldschool rts from the 90's, featuring 3d graphics, designing your own units, unique resource and production system, cool story, lots of briefing cutscenes etc. i'd say its on par with the like of starcraft and age of empires. best of all its free to download (abandonware, but there is an online revival movement) google "warzone 2100 portable" for dl and more info. there's a portable version available, so you can run it off a flash drive from any computer.

dead space 2 is exactly what you want in a survival/horror game imo. 8.5/10.
Single player alone is worth the money if you like this genre.

Fifa 11 is by far the deepest sports game I have ever played. The amount of stuff I have to learn is overwhelming. Its downright scary and its insane.
I love it. Fifa 11 makes Madden look like a preschoolers game, and I love Madden, but fuck, Fifa is insane. Why am I so late on jumping on this amazing game.. I dunno, if you haven't played it you are missing out on one of the greatest sports games, wait wait wait.. the greatest game sports game there is imo. Game flows smooth as hell, animations are on par with Madden 11, learning curve is down right frightening (I take that as a good thing), and while I love watching major soccer events, its damn fun to play in a video game to. Sorry Fifa, you are truly and amazing game, and I took to long to realize this

ea sports makes some fine products. fifa is a great game i should pick up '11. it is my life-long dream to work for them developing the nhl series. unfortunately there is realistically no chance of that happening. although i have been seriously considering compiling a list of all my many (hundreds) ideas for the game and sending it to them.

So I got accepted to participate in Beta events for a new MMO called Rift.
From its current hype it is suppose to make a considerable dent in the MMO market, however the game is pretty generic. It takes a a little from a lot of the better MMOs out there, and puts it all in one, as well as adding in some new. The class system is pretty cool, I really haven't researched enough to explain it well, but you pretty much select up to 6 classes as you play through the game, but you combine 2 classes and can only use those 2 at a time. When a situation calls for a different set up you've made you can switch between setups you've made. Also hence the name, there are many in game Rifts going on through out the world. These are real time events where the world opens up and monsters are portaled or dropped in attacking key towns and what not and its up to the players to take them back or you will loose the city or area, which effects everything. Pretty sure they are openly accepting people right now for beta so just go to the site and request a key, check email, and play.

GT5 on ps3 - 8.5/10 due to poor shadows / reflections and edges, poor AI, average menu system, no real advancements on tuning.
+ve; awesome car physics & and not too easy i.e long life

been playing for the past few hours, having quite a bit of fun as a Rogue/Ranger/Marksmen style character.. Even got a pet that you can spawn from level 1.
Quests are the usual kill x amount of this, go destroy this and what not. The one good thing I'd say about the opening quests so far is its pretty much story driven, and what I'm killing while questing is pretty cool instead of the regular small gay creatures you normally fight when leveling up early on.

the last game i played...today was a free xbox live arcade game call Dorito's Crash Course, its an obstical course type of game which actually gets pretty challenging as it goes on. it offers three different continents to play in, U.S, Europe and Japan. if get bored and want some cool achievement points then its definitly worth a download. i give it a 8.0 out of 10.

Havent touched the single player yet. but I'm a good 3 or 4 hours online so far and it's a blast. I mean it probably doesn't do anything that terribly innovative, but damn if those aren't the sleekest sci-fi graphics and sound effects I've seen and heard coming out of my TV. It's a spectacle to be sure, and underneath that is a solid, pure shooting game.
Also looking forward to doing the split screen campaign.
