internet on tv anyone?

According to GQ this is the wave of the future. Surfing the net on your big screen tv from the comfort of your couch with a simple, small, handheld remote keyboard.

Anyone here doing anything like this yet? I know the wii has the wireless router with netflix, yadda yadda. But the ultimate end would be surfing yahooka during commercial breaks. I don't quite understand the technology yet though. Also I don't have HDMI inputs on my television, sooo...

This sounds like me pushing input on my remote and switching from Cable to HDMI.

people have connected computers to tv for years with the input jack, but the new streamlined interface is what the users want. Something that has core features of a computer basically.

Playstation 3 has limited and the browser is hard to read. But this is happening now. In two years all TV's will have internet connection.

well xbox, playstation and wii all have browsers. i don't think there's much use for an actual browser installed on the tv, but the idea of it accessing youtube, hulu and other online media outlets intrigues me.

our technology is just becoming ever more integrated and it's unfathomably awesome.

oh it was 4:20 a moment ago btw

I have a wireless mouse.
I also plug my laptop in to a/v connections connected to a flatscreen and a receiver. HD d/l's look and sound great.

Soon (5 to 10 years) all tv will come from the internet. It's just a matter of time.

Streaming everything is nearly upon us.

Netflix is starting to stream HD now.

We're gonna end up like those fat fucks in WALLE.
