Actually, if it was 39.99 back when Zelda first came out in the 80s, that would make it around $70 or more today.

ill tell you why its not a deal, because grand theft auto was only 20 dollars when it first came out and it was A NEW GAME not some rehash playing on 90's nintendo nostalgia for people trying to recapture their youth.

Why should we as gamers reward programmers for coming up with a 20 year old game? (apparently while playing mine sweeper)

While it still looks like a decent little game, its just not 40 bucks decent.

I bet you're the same kind of person that goes and sees all these movie remakes too, not a slight mind you, but this is what marketing has become these days, rehashing and rebooting everything from the 80's. Some people eat it up, but nostalgia isn't for everyone.

My argument is not moot in the sense that I don't feel its worth 40 dollars for a game I played 20 years ago. Just my opinion.

borrowing elements from another game isn't making an identical game, throwing some cubic 3d rendering on it and calling it new, then charging 40 bucks for it.

all I said was, its NOT worth 40 bucks to play a game I played 20 years ago. If it was 15 bucks, im sure I wouldn't have anything to say.

This game isn't identical to the original zelda.

I'm not getting touchy, but your only argument is that you think it costs too much. Hell, I'd pay $15 for the nes/snes version to be released on PSN. If you go into a used-game shop, you'll spend more than $15 to pick up the nes/snes cartridges.

I also happen to not be dirt poor, so $40 to me sounds like a hell of a deal for a retro, challenging, and fun full game. Maybe if you hand't blown your wad on the latest CoD game you wouldnt be so hard up for cash.

you might be able to get jeopardy or t&c surf designs wood and water rage for 1-5$, but you'll spend more on the classics, like FFI&II, zelda, mario3, punch-out, contra, river city ransom, and mega man games.
