I'm in PC heaven
I just started running Ubuntu and it's amazing. I don't know why I've waited this long.
10.4 is the build I'm on and even though I've only been playing with it for like 4 hours I can tell I'm rarely(if ever) gonna boot in Windows 7 anymore.

Yeah I'm dual booted with a cracked 7 Ultimate and I love it, but the power behind Ubuntu is awesome. It'll obviously take me a while to become fully proficient in it, but once you know what you're doing it's ridiculous how much you can do with it.

I'm talking the ability to make it do whatever you want. Not being confined by the constraints of Windows GUI is nice.
Open up the Terminal >sudo apt-get install (insert anything you can think of) if it's in the Repository it'll automatically install. And that's just the very beginning.

Yeah Ubuntu is pretty damn awesome I must admit, silky, smooth, and stable. And Ubuntu paired with Wine and there isn't a reason to dual boot really - save for those programs that are just not compatible-. But yeah Bears just cruise the Ubuntuforums whenever you run into a wall, other than that good luck and have fun.

I've been thinking about putting it on my netbook, heard it runs a lot smoother for lower-spec systems, such as my 1-gig of ram and shit processor netbook. Think i orta?

Yesh I think it would do wonders for your netbook, buuuut you may have some issues with your drivers specifically the wireless/wifi drivers. You should order some cds and use the virtual cdrom feature or w/e to preview.
edit** all this ubuntu talk makes me wanna get my linux box back in commission
