Chrome Convert

Now that chrome has allowed extensions, I'm ready to say goodbye to firefox. I only needed three addons anyway:, adblock plus, stumbleupon, and xmarks. It is shockingly quick loading. Light and minimalistic, all things the process intensive FF used to have the reputation for. It along with FF are the only two browsers that can use both HTML5 and flash at the moment, so i see no need to go to opera/safari/ie etc...

Anyone else use chrome as their primary browser?

^ ya that's apart of the install process. Plus it syncs with xmarks if you have multiple comps and you want them all to have the same bookmarks.

it's been 2 days now, and i love it...set up the browser search for wiki, took some getting used to instead of the dedicated search bar(firefox), but this way is much more efficient/practical...I love the tabs at the top, the quick load times, the incognito browsing, and the quick link boxes when you open a new tab...Took me way too long but glad I made the switch...

Sing my brothers, feel the brilliant light reflecting off the chrome portal from the wilds of the world wide web...

I was under the impression that chrome logs and files all of your history and search records.

Not sure what you mean, like how every other browser has cookies and temp files, which can be averted with using incognito mode or a cleanup program like ccleaner.

or like google is actively archiving everything you type? Of which I have found no info on since searching for it now that you mentioned that. Send link if you have it plz, but it sounds like tinfoil hat material to me.

Seems pretty generic, in fact there's some notables as well...

Quote:
Potential for Data Disclosure
In early 2005, the United States Department of Justice filed a motion in federal court to force Google to comply with a subpoena for, "the text of each search string entered onto Google's search engine over a two-month period (absent any information identifying the person who entered such query)."[26] Google fought the subpoena, due to concerns about users' privacy.[27] In March 2006, the court ruled partially in Google's favor, recognizing the privacy implications of turning over search terms and refusing to grant access.[28]

Life would be so much easier and more fun if more browsers supported CSS3 the way Chrome's Webkit engine does. Only other browser that supports these new features is Safari.

That said, I still love Firefox's bookmarks system better and Firebug, so I still use Firefox for web development and Chrome for surfing.

I would use Firefox. It has years of development behind it and is solid, even for windows

First off, Google is older than Mozilla.

Secondly, Mozilla has nothing to do with Windows.
