It looks incredible.
A huge number of innovations and improvements, entirely new systems of gameplay, but to top it off my favourite thing I've read about it - the ability to make an entire actual game with multiple levels and scripted cutscenes using a new, more dynamic camera system. If there is a way to work in stats or even items, well damn, this just might be the best game ever made. I can hardly even imagine what some people are going to come up with.

On the topic of lbp2, after reading the wikipedia page on it, apparently there will be role playing functionality in it. Unfortunately it didn't go into the specifics.
