right click on the desktop, go to properties (personalize), and then the display tab and change your resolution

this should work if you have the best drivers.

your welcome

edit: forgot they changed shit around in vista and windows 7

Its even easier in 7. Right click on the desktop and one of the options is 'Screen resolution'

Yes double check all the settings under 'screen resolution'. It's odd that with your resolution so high things still appear that way, so my guess is you've not actually got it at that resolution.

hit ctrl+ or ctrl- to zoom in and out on firefox, that might help if stuff is hard to read

does the PC have two monitor sockets on the back? (one will be at bottom, one will be in the middle)

if it does plug the monitor into the other one

some computers have a graphic card "built in" to the motherboard while some computers have an extra graphic card plugged into a slot on the motherboard, the built in ones are normally kinda shitty so if you're connected to that one it could explain resolution

eh i dunno about that, pretty much any computer these days that can run windows 7 has a built in video card capable of a high desktop resolution.

Do you know how to post a screenshot (or screenshots) of what you're seeing? If not, go here and then post them:

Use Snipping Tool to capture screen shots
