so whats the deal with the single player campaigns? i heard they are releasing 3 separate games for the separate campaigns? am i going to have to pay 150 bucks to play all 3? not that i would pay for them, i plan on buying one for battle.net and pirating the rest. but thats some bullshit.

and whats the deal with no lan play?

isnt LAN play basically what made SC so great, you could bring one copy to a lan and install ghost copies on all the machines from that disk and LAN it up?

im really disappointed in that. because i would like to play with actual people.

as soon as IW became a part of activision, dedicated servers were removed from the COD series

as soon as activision/blizzard was created, LAN was removed from the SC series

Yea, Wings of Liberty is the Terran Campaign, Heart of the Swarm expansion pack will be Zerg, and finally Legacy of the Void ex pack for Protoss.

Multiplayer you can play all 3 though in this first one.

Who needs LAN in this age of wifi and battle.net/steam? You can still play with your IRL friends.

not if you dont have an internet connection, which is how it is at most of the lans we have around here

and even if you do, usually theres simply not enough bandwidth for everyone

its purty retarded that at lan parties, it wont be lan...

the game will ping out to some server then back when the computer you wanna play with is 2 feet away.

once you get a large amount of people playing on the same connection you lose bandwidth

its fine for places that have T1's and fiber optics and stuff but for your average person its just an unnecessary hassle imo

not only that, but i remember at lans there were TONS of people who had bought SC, multiple times even, but didnt have the disks/cd key anymore so they just used someone elses copy

all that is gone now

But mazac brings up a good point, why the fuck would you ping a server to play with someone 2 feet away.
