the one with the fan in it...and the fan sounds funny. it appears to be running, which is a good thing. could it be going out? needs to be cleaned up...try and remove the dust...? if there's some in there...which there probably is. do i unscrew the whole back side?? there's 4 little screws around the fan, but if i unscrewed them, it doesn't look like just that part would come off...since it's flush and one piece with the whole metal backside...sorry if this doesn't make alot of sense and i'm not using the right terminology...it just sucks a little because i don't know what to do exactly.

Most likely just dust build up.

Most computer cases have a side panel you can remove to access all the parts. Get a can of compressed air and go to town on it.

Yeah, you shouldn't have to remove the fan itself ASG. But like Komp said remove that side panel and just go to town on your comp, just make sure its short burst of the air .. the longer you hold it the more it has a tendency to squirt just pure moisture, if it still has cooling problems you could get an outside fan and put near it to vent it properly.

That's only if you left your computer on while you were working on its insides, which would be dumb. Otherwise the NO2 evaporates pretty much instantly.

You could but it won't do as good a job. Plus with the air dusters usually come with a long slender tube to get into the hard-to-reach nooks and crannies.



The better you clear the dust, the quieter and cooler [read: faster] your computer will run. Good to do on a somewhat regular basis, especially if you have pets running around nearby.

yeah man i was being super sarcastic in my suggestion that you can both clean your computer and get high with computer duster. i thought the video i subsequently posted in the same post would highlight that but i guess i need to explain it in very precise detail like so.

OK, i got some Clean Safe Dust Remover...i like on the back how it shows a drawing of someone trying to huff it and a red slash through it...apparently, it contains BITTERGENT...which "helps deter inhalant abuse". So, I suppose it tastes nasty. Like without the bittergent, it tasted like candy?

I like fucking with the compressed air, like spraying it upside down and letting it freeze whatever it hits. But yeah I got some in my mouth on accident today actually and it tastes disgusting. The taste lingered for like 15 minutes too.
