Thumbs up Samurai Jack

Long ago, in a distant land, I, Aku, shape shifting Master of Darkness unleashed an unspeakable evil. But a foooooolish samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forward to oppose me.

If you know this show, there is nothing more I need say.

Right now anyways.

surfthechannel.com has most of them on megavideo I think.

The backgrounds and imagery of this show are indeed intense. There is also a subtle humor pervasive throughout.

Plus, Jack is fuckin intense. Thats like his gig, being intense. And he goes to all sorts of sweet places, and meets all sorts of sweet things, including realistic things, fantasy and sci-fi.

This thread inspired me to torrent the series, currently plowing through season 3.

As Nun so eloquently put it, I forgot about how awesome Samurai Jack is. From pulling cultural mythology from across the globe [like the 300 episode] integrated into a future sci-fi world to the animation style that I can only describe as simply intricate, Samurai Jack also blends in as mentioned intense robotic/magical violence with subtle comedy and compassion. The voice acting/casting and music are supremely phenomenal as well.

a while back Genndy Tartakovsky did a cartoon adaptaion of the Star Wars Clone Wars (the event, unrelated specifically to any other Star Wars media, and not any remake either). done in the same style and very good.
