Face of Mankind

Face of Mankind

So, this is an MMO I recently started up. I did play it like a year or two ago but never got to into it. You can play for free, but prems get bonuses, like usual, but not really combat bonuses, just higher ranks in the factions, apartments, more inventory space (apparently free accounts can only hold 2 stacks at a time but you still get a shiiit load of storage space.

Face of Mankind is a Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) Action RPG in a single persistent universe. You will control a single character in the science-fiction game world.

Once installed on your PC you will have access to an ever changing game environment via your internet connection. Thousands of players throughout the universe co-operate, compete or co-exist in a realistic and futuristic world of the 24th+ century.
The skill and luck of the players from rival factions change the balance of power. Players have full control over their gaming experience by creating their own rules, faction hierarchy and story.
The objective of the game is to evolve your character to its ultimate potential, whether that is the accumulation of wealth, power, social status or all three.
Quote:
Eight factions make up the fabric of the society. Each faction can bring a different atmosphere to the game whether by war, control of a colony and its mines or undermining prices on the market.

Factions are led by a leader who is elected by their members and who uses their abilities to take colonies, make deals with other factions to help control the market or hire out as mercenaries. Individual players are citizens of the Dominion, banded together in their factions they become a force to fear.

By the end of the 22nd century, the overcrowding of Earth’s cities, the growing drain on natural resources, and the memories of recent violence caused mankind to desire new and remote locations to start their lives over again. The International Space Administration’s colonization efforts provided the perfect solution – distant havens for hundreds of thousands of Earth’s citizens to take up residence. As colonization efforts spread and the Vortex-Net brought humanity to the stars in ever-greater numbers, mankind’s footprint became more noticeable on a galactic scale.

Meanwhile, in the late 24th century on Earth, life carries on in a manner that mankind has become accustomed to over hundreds of years. People continue ...

Looks cool - I suck SO bad at FPS though! I canceled my EQ2 account last week since there was nothing new coming out until the next major expansion (early 2011) and because people were getting in a rut of the same old raids every 2-3 times a week. That plus the fact that my money is getting funny and I'm cutting corners any way I can. Might look this up after I get full-time employment and a new PC (mine is 4 years old!). Thanks for the suggestion

im taking this one back, i dont recommend this shit... i kept playig and restarting characters, but after 3 days, it just aint fun. you stand around, talk, wait for some one to gank you or some one start a fight, you die, you repeat. combat is broken as fuck, and most of the ingame money is from a dupe spree in the spring and most items have been made withh said duped money so economy is just fucked.
