I found xp pro to be more stable than Vista. Hopefully with 7, they addressed the compatibility issues.
Office 2007...horrible ribbons. 2010 is supposed to be more intuitive. Has anyone found it an improvement over 2007? |

i still use office 2000 because no update ever really changed the function of the programs. just rearranging the buttons to confuse me.

i noticed it says 3.25 ram usable out of 4gb installed. i need 64bit os to take advantage of both my sticks of ram?

windows 7 is so fucking awesome i cant believe it.
i wasnt able to use my usb midi keyboard on my computer for like 4 years ever since a virus fucked up my config files.... as soon as i installed windows 7 it fixed all my networking problems and the keyboard installed great and works just like a brand fucking new computer... this computer is like 8 years old but and it literally feels like a brand new computer working fast as hell. its only 1.5 gb of ram and like 1.5 ghrz or something slow but damn it works sooo fucking fast now compared to how xp worked... im so fucking happy i switched anybody whos on the fence definately do it.

srsly wellf, what was the point of that?
tbh though, if j-wonder wouldve re-installed any os it wouldve fixed his computer by the sounds of it. wasnt an os issue.

yea that may be true, but i couldnt bring myself to lose all my shit just to fix the problem, at least now i start fresh with a new os and everything else gone too- i can just add the shit i use and it helps to get rid of stuff i never use but wouldnt think to delete
