The important question here is do you really need to turn screws, saw wood, file your nails all with the same implement? Not likely, If your Mac does what you need it to do and puts a smile on your face then good for you man, I'm happy you're happy. as a side note on average Mac's support is much friendlier with non computer nerds than most PC vendors are, and to be honest they look better in their stock form.

Tryin to restore the mellow to this groove.

Id agree with the statement, except flip the pc to the simplified cutlery set.
Mac can and will do everything a pc can, especially considering boot camp allows you to extremely easily install windows on your mac.

Ya in hindsight that analogy goes both ways.

Ok Imma trump all this shit right quick

Any decent computer + VMware = any platform combined with any OS with complete control of all resources.

eh, im not a fan of vmware as it uses extra resources to run as opposed to just booting into said OS.

I love the mac haters who think they know everything. Windows hold a large market share because they are cheap and we are generally a wal-mart society.

Anyone doing anything professional or more than the average joe's browsing/gaming/torrent shit 90% of the time will have a mac.

the other night i was at m0rb1d's house, making some music. (well i was actually a little too stoned to move at the moment). And from the guy in the room (me) who is casually creating to the guy who is in a band releasing cd's and what not, everyone had a mac. 5 macbooks in the room.

Pc's are great in their own way. They are like the wal-mart brand, generally does the basic stuff everyone needs but you will probably need a new one sooner than later.

just the way it is.

oh, and ubuntu > all

Wow, how have you concluded what I do on my Mac? How? Btw, if I have nothing better to do I can always "play" on my PS3.

No, whats really funny is how painfully slow that thing will be in a year and a half. Have fun as you will need to get a new one, unless all you do is internet. HA!

Did you read PC Mag's ratings? This is coming from a PC centric mag. They know a hell of a lot more than you or me and you would expect a PC centric mag to lean towards PC's. But the fact of the matter is that Apple products across the board are better than PC's, and it is so obvious except for those who have never used a modern Mac, who, of course, justify their less capable PC's regardless of logic.

Looks by your post count is all YOU do is surf the web. Just an observation, don't get another hair across your asshole.

It's so funny how a simple thread about Macs always goes south in a matter of seconds around here by people who will "attempt" to bum you out with inaccuracies. 4 fucking pages - it always ends in disaster by people like YOU. Then when disputed, people like YOU, who really know nothing about Macs start trolling nonsense.

Have you tried any of there more recent versions since they went away from the xen based hypervisor? Their new thin client will run really well on anything being sold off the shelf these days. Their old stuff was clunky as hell but then again it was meant to host an entire datacenter. The new workstation release is pretty hot if you havnt given it a try yet.

No I actually spend quite a bit of time reading magazines and going to school.

Cue a rant about "it's not overpriced because I'm rich" and a personal attack even though you agreed with him.

We go through this back-and-forth every time he brings up anything about Mac. And it's always the exact same arguments.

Ignorance is bliss and this nigga's happy. Let's drop it.

Seriously, if I wanted to I could just throw the next gay guy I come across right up against a wall and give him an anal assault and he wouldn't complain one bit.

Ummm, no they have not. You simply do not understand the difference of hyper-threading and having 4 cores, etc, etc, etc.. So you can say the specss of those cheap machines are close and convince yourself of this, but this simply is (again) untrue.

Also, I didn't realize any of those machines could run OSX. Actually, I do, and is another X factor for ME.
