Mine is otw in the mail. Sad to say I never played the first one but who cares. Looking forward to playing this on ps3, getting great reviews and feedback.

I'm thinking I might torrent it. I bought fallout 3 and as far as i'm concerned that should be my ticket to all things fallout until fallout 4.

snowmayne you never played the 1st? But I'm guessing then you played the 2nd?
As long as you played one of the two originals.

I meant to say I never played the 3rd.. I played bits of the first one but tbh I have a hard time getting into games that old, today. I'm to spoiled.

I really enjoyed the original fallouts, and 3, while quite different different from the 1st two, was an awesome game that lived up to the name.
This one does take place in the desert, but essentially the exact gameplay of the 3rd with a few cool additions like iron sights and gun customization. What's really cool though is the hardcore mode, where you have to eat and drink and sleep to stay alive. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it's great. I'd say give it a try, it's a good game. I might buy it for Ps3 later. My PC has to run it on lowest graphics settings otherwise it chugs along like a retarded korean with an infected gall bladder.

its nothing like the original ones. if you expect that top down slow rpg style gameplay thats not what its about. its an FPS with RPG elements now.
gonna fire it up today so i'll post my thoughts, and for the record i loved FO3

played for an hour last night, i like the premise of the main quest alot more than that idiotic water plant or whatever that was the focus of FO3. but then again the main quest is only a small part of these types of games.
