as of right now its free to download and play, they are going to add items that you can buy and stuff like that in the future but as of now its a pretty level playing field.

alot of people hate the series, i get it, its repetitive and shallow. thats why i love it personally.

yeah its like the original except you play with and against other people in the huge battles

its actually really cool so far, you get your own house and as you win battles and get experience and complete quests you get better weapons and companions and stuff

no its actual dynasty warriors, same gameplay of killing tons of dudes on a map, except instead of computer controlled bosses theres 2 teams of actual people

which actually changes the game and makes it a whole lot more strategical/interesting/fun

you make your own custom warrior dude, you start out in your house with nothing, you complete quests and tutorials till you can battle other players in battles, and then there are like 4 or 5 different fight modes that you can pick to play with other people. there is a central quest town where you can buy and sell items and stuff, group up with other people, get quests, etc.

its surprisingly enjoyable actually if u are into DW, and for free its actually a great deal.

heres the different modes you can play


Melee

An all out 4 vs. 4 brawl. This mode allows you and three other players from your faction to fight up to four players of an opposing faction. The results of the battle will affect your Melee Level and each faction's Conflict Points. You can enter this battle mode by speaking with the Marshal, Melee Receptionist, and Campaign Chief NPCs around the plaza. In order to participate in this mode, you will need to be ranked higher than a Lt. Major.

Showdown

The grandest PvP battle of them all. The Showdown allows up to two teams of 12 to fight in head to head combat. In this mode, faction Conflict Points will be at stake, but Melee Levels will remain the same. Players who want to participate in a Showdown will need to be in game during a predetermined time, and must be ranked higher than Lt. Major. The Officer NPCs provide admittance to the first 12 people from the selected factions.

Campaign

Expand your horizons. Campaign mode offers players a large-scale battle for control of a city. The factions involved will be predetermined, with the controlling faction in charge of city defense. To participate in a Campaign, the Campaign period must have begun and you must be in one of the competing factions. Players will also need to be ranked higher than Lt. Major. If these conditions are met, speak with either the Marshal or Campaign Chief NPCs in the plaza.

Mock Battle

If you need a quick warm up match, look no further than the Mock Battle. In this mode, players can fight other players from their own faction with up to four members per team. This mode also permits spectators. Participating in the Mock Battle will not affect you or other characters in any way. To select this mode, visit the Clerk NPC in the plaza.

Arena

This mode allows players to face opponents from enemy factions without affecting their Melee Level. Faction Conflict Points, however, will be affected. To participate in this mode, you must speak with the Officer NPC and have a character ranked higher than a Lt. Major.

lol seems cool maybe ill try it too. I played the shit out of dynasty warriors 4.


It is TOTAL time waster though so I'm not sure yet if i'll even try it. Videogames already waste your time, but dynasty warriors some how feels like it wastes your time MORE (note that I'm not saying it wastes more time, it wastes time more)
