Mmmk. I need help.
Please.
SO, installing a new security system on the computer, removing the old, expired one, AVG. Installing McAfee. McAfee says remove all AVG shit. Couldn't do it in add/remove programs, so I used an uninstaller from the avg site. McAfee starts to install again, and says it's still finding avg on the computer. I don't know what the fuck. Where's the AVG I can't find? *sigh* Thanks you guys.

probably in the registery.
Use regedit.exe and do a search for avg and delete what you find. Be careful of words with avg in it that has nothing to do with avg itself.

Mooooother fuck.
Ooook. Still have issues. I used the regular search feature on the computer first and deleted all of the AVG stuff that found. THEN, I went and used the regedit.exe and deleted the two avg things that found. THEN, I restarted and fucking McAfee says it's still on the computer!! I can skip that warning, and continue to install, although it appears to not be recommend. I'm not sure what else to do. I don't want to keep using my fucking computer if I'm not protected....buuuuut I want to use the damn computer!!!!!

Mcafee and Norton are hogs.
Sophos is somewhat better. Just install it. Mcafee is just jealous it was not your first ![]() Mac is so much better in that way... but waaay worse in others.

You could have some AppData in a hidden folder. Enable hidden folder viewing in folder options and go into [depending on your windows version] your user folder and look for AVG.
Get Avast! It's what all the e-pirates use to protect ourselves. The free version is pretty robust, and the pay version is amazing.

And for god sakes, never just open your registry and begin deleting...that's the fast track to a crashed O/S.
Horrible, horrible advice, dude.
