I love it, especially the auto password feature. It is the same or faster as my primary on some web sites and slightly slower on others. It now takes advantage of system wide spell check included in my OS as well.

It is now my primary web browser.

There is more browsing space.. Not a whooole lot, but more..

Is it just me, or does it format website differently?

speed is now there, countless options to customize, edit you own layout, tons of addons and extensions as you would expect.

once you dig deep into the browser and realize all the customizing you can do its insane.

I recommend Tab King, and Awesome Screenshot, 2 really cool addons.

Loved Chrome at first, until it started crashing on me constantly and freezing up, no clue why, kept a clean browser. FF4 is heavenly.

Looks different for sure... and I think it DOES load up faster. I like the slimness of it actually.

Did you have problems with flash and chrome?

When playing some browser games, chrome will sometimes act up a bunch..

yes I did have problems with flash, flash crashed ALL THE TIME, but that wasn't the only problem. I'd crash just browsing say yahooka, and another couple tabs opened to forums.

yahooka was also retardedly slow when I used Chrome. I switched to the new IE while waiting for FF4, and yahooka wasn't nearly as slow as on chrome, now its pretty much back to normal. I had been dealing with a super slow yahooka for fucking months.

this is me too. i'm over it. gonna get firefox 4 now I think.

also, i think yahooka has been slow on its own for awhile now, regardless of browser...although, that may slow it down even more.

having problems either with Safari or more correctly the sites, still using media player and real player.(like cnn and bbc.)

but works excellent with macromedia's (Adobe) plugins.
it's been loading YaHooka without fail for some time.

I can't beleive all the talk about peoples browsers crashing...no browser should crash more or less than any other unless you're doing something to it. These are some basic tips, but if you are experiencing any browser crashing, try:

* Empty your cache on a regular basis (try daily)

* Disable almost ALL add-ons. They are the #1 cause of browser crashes. They are developed by individuals using the API for the respective browser. In English, this means they are poorly coded most of the time and cause more problems than they solve.

* Change your Antivirus. My guess is a lot of people here use McAfee, Norton or AVG. All three of these integrate into the browser and cause a slew of problems...and they don't really protect you from anything you wouldn't probably click on anyway. Switch to Avast. It's free and it is by far the best and most effecient antivirus out there....and it doesn't screw with your browsers. Honestly, if you need to rely on an antivirus to protect you from the internet, you're doing it wrong and you should probably learn more about what is safe and not safe to click on, and how to browse securely without ANY antivirus. If people want tips about this, let me know and I'll write some up.

* Free up some active/usable memory on your PC. Here's a test: in the bottom right of Windows, there are usually a number of icons there. If you can't see them, click the little arrow (this is the same for any version of Windows). If you have more than 8 or so icons there, you're probably running way too many applications in the background and almost all of them are not needed to be there (Adobe PDF, comes to mind). They run in the background to save load time for when you DO want to use them, but we're talking seconds, and the memory they consume far outweighs the benefits.

The best way to turn them off is to "run" MSCONFIG. Try following these instructions:

How to use MSCONFIG: NetSquirrel.com

Usually you can turn off every single one of them without a problem. The best part about this is you can't damage anything. If something stops working that you use often, just turn it back on. It's the #1 best way to increase the boot time and overall performance of your PC and subsequently your internet browsing experience.

/ dr ego has left the building

Edit - and last note...if you're internet experience seems 'slow', 99% chance its your connection and not your browser. Browsers process website data quickly enough that no matter which you're using, we're talking milliseconds of difference. That is to say though, regarding my above points, that you're not overloading that particular browser with add-ons, not clearing cache or using some integrated antivirus program...neverthele ss the overall health and performance of your computer as a whole. So don't be so quick to blame the browser...after doing PC repair for 12 years+, I can tell you its never been just a browser, that causes a bad browsing experience, but rather a deeper and more systemic cause.

k bye

not about blaming the server alone nun, (a large marijuana board) recently upgraded to a massive/fast one.

you still need massive knowledge to work it. (or more correctly, the correct knowledge to "work" it)

Thanks Ego. I'm almost always running Agent and Bittorrent while browsing on an old (repaired ) hp 600a. Since loading a bootleg (modified) winXP SP3 OS, system purrs like a kitten.

Only problem I have now is using up all my neighbors bandwidth .
(It's his router I wireless into)
He gets free movies & appz, I get internet, to get them...and so forth.
Symbiosis @ it's best.

For those of you who, like me, missed the status bar indicator (wtf did they take this away?), go get the add on, Status-4-Evar. Now FF4 is complete.

I'm too used to chrome now, can't go back to firefox...I tried but even with importing everything and skinning it up and all that, i just couldn't get past the fact that it isn't chrome...

It's like when your gf goes out of town and you hook up with your ex, yeah the pussy was good but it isn't what you are used to now...
