Not a bad movie, actually. I read a few reviews about it, ranging from "spectacularly brilliant in every way" to "it sucks donkey anus", and I think the best description was, "It's the best mediocre movie you'll ever see." And since it couldn't get big studio backing (or Angelina Jolie to play Dagny), it's entirely cast with no-name actors and totally independently produced.
The acting was a kinda shite at times, and the story didn't really flow that well (but then, neither did the book). However, it captures the idea of what Rand was trying to convey in her books, and it has some brilliant moments. I would recommend seeing it if you are interested in Rand's philosophy, or if you really like trains. However, if you're looking for something with lots of tension and drama, you're not going to get that really. It's better than the book in that regard, but it's still pretty much an intellectual film.
