Jim Carrey was right

So I caught the cable guy on tv this weekend and watched it again for the first time in like 10 years.

Learning that this classic 90's Jim Carrey Movie was one of the first Judd Apatow / Ben Stiller collaborations wasn't the biggest bombshell.

Entirely irrelevant thread aside, it's pretty fucking crazy that Jim Carrey "predicted" this shit so accurately.

How could the truman show go over anyone's head. It's one of the greatest movies ever. And in terms of how ridiculous reality TV has become, the premise isn't even that far fetched. But yeah that movie and its score is genius.

Yeah it's a great movie and all. But my point was really more about how awesome it was that he predicted that stuff so fucking accurately.

Then again, we'll probably get a bunch of asshole cynics saying that by 1996 we had the internet all figured out and that these predictions aren't that impressive. So I guess this can be a Jim Carrey appreciation thread.

Ace Venture - When Nature Calls - Best Jim Carrey movie ever. "Greenwall, hit the lights! The switch on the wall beside you! Bumblebee tuna. I can see your balls." hahaha the stupidest greatest movie ever made.

My favorite bit from that movie was that Truman was the first child ever adopted by a corporation. That was gold.

If that 3 second bit of explanatory plot dialogue was your "favorite bit" then you missed out on like 99.99% of the movie and its epic acting and soundtrack.
