Emulation Thread

Been playing alot of older games via emulators lately. This thread is to discuss all emulation shit.

Emuparadise.org - N64 Playstation Dreamcast SNES Genesis NES MAME ROMs ISOs

has pretty much all the info you want. get a cheap xbox controller and even a shitty 400 dollar laptop like mine plays psx games smoothly. dont expect ps2 or gamecube/wii on a laptop though unless its a really dope laptop.

Started this game a few weeks ago, im a huge fan of chrono trigger and i never played this one so i decided to give it a try. The story is pretty engaging so far, its starting to get sufficiently confusing and i also enjoy the actual battle system which is just different enough from most JRPGs that its actually fun. It also easy as shit (ive played lots of RPGs though) which for me is good cuz i mostly play JRPGs for the story anyway. As far as being a sequel to trigger it doesnt even come close to how good the first one was, but as a separate game unto itself its just as good as most of the other PSX RPGs.

I had a gamecube and rented this game once but never got far. Its actually turning out to be challenging as shit and everything i loved about mario 64 amped up a notch. i still havent played any of the galaxy games so im looking forward to progressing to those now that wii emulation is possible.

This game was so awesome that i beat it in about 3 weeks, playing way too much but i loved every second of it. not much more needs to be said about this one. didnt like it as much as ocarina but ocarina is the best game of all time so you cant expect it to. probably ranks in my top 10 somewhere for console games.

For the older consoles, anyway

I wonder if there's any way to emulate on the PSP. I love having my favourite PSone classics on there, it'd be even better if I could get some SNES games on there too.... drool

yeah dude theres websites with tons of PSX game rips like this one:

PSX Eboot Section - PSPISO

the snag is you gotta have the right version PSP to do it with and you have to get a memory stick to save it all on. i have a first gen PSP so i can pretty much do anything with mine.

as for SNES on the psp:

http://pspslimhacks.com/psp-emulators/snes-emulator/

ive taken my PSP with me on countless trips and ive had the entire SNES library available. its been good times.

Neat. I've been playing Emulators since 15. All the way through the GBA Emulation craze. Good times. I play mostly SNES, GBA and PSX.

I play with my xbox 360 corded controller very slick. In fact, its almost killed next gen for me entirely, newer games just don't cut it the way they used to. I can pick up the latest release for my 360, and still find myself grinding away at Final Fantasy Tactics.

WoW addicts need a support group like AA, or maybe like their own branch of AA.
