kaossilator
anyone own one? I put in an order for one yesterday.
Having seen these in use, it sounds like the perfect thing for me, i'm always tapping out a rhythm or humming some kind of melody, and the ability to make music out in the wilds has a huge appeal to me. I.e. blazing and tripping in the out of the doors, headphones and synthesizer, what better? Everyone i've talked to has wildly positive things to say about it, and I like a lot of you folks' inputs, so lets hear it-anyone use this thing? Thoughts? Here's some youtoobs of the thing in action some meh drum and bass YouTube - ‪Kaossilat or - Zombie DnB‬‏ bach remix YouTube - ‪Kaossilat or Bach Remix‬‏ pseudoscratching YouTube - ‪Scratchin g with the Korg Kaossilator‬& rlm; needless to say, i'm excited. |

never even seen this before! looks pretty dope though, how much are you getting yours for?
imo it looks kinda annoying to deal with such a small thing, but for the applications you were mentioning it might just be the best toy ever. im pretty sure "they" will soon be putting full scale DAWs on hand held devices like the ipad. in fact i think ableton already has an app for the ipad that turns it into a control surface. make sure you post some stuff that you make, im interested in seeing what it can do

yeah, not being a musician (percussion in hs, and some guitar/bass stuff before drugs predominated, but nothing serious. This mostly seems to be regarded as a musical sketchpad.
I paid 127 for the kpad and 9 for an ac adapter for home use. Will be sure to upload some vids after I practice a bit. |

yes, i know this, but they are basically the same concept
its a touchpad with a x and y axis that you move your finger around on to change the audio in various ways.

love my kaossilators. I have the original little yellow one and the pro. I run the original + a microkorg into the pro. Thats my permanent living room set-up. We run guitars and drums into that shit too.
Ellis you will enjoy.
