i sadly missed the original and jumped onboard with number 2. i had to play the shitty single player campaign against bots for the longest fucking time. i think it was the first multiplayer game i ever played actually.

the original was untouchable imo. very simple but very awesome. something about being able to do basically w/e you want on a map is just fun.

I remember seeing Tribes 2 for sale and desperately trying to convince my mom to let me buy it/buy it for me. Same thing in an 11 year old's mind, yeah?
Anyway, I didn't get it and I haven't played a Tribes game ever.
But I've heard naught but good things about it so I'm really looking forward to this.
Although I need a better gaming PC for sure.

im pretty sure ur comp can run it too, considering its like a decade old game

I'm running Ubuntu off of a live disc and have no installed OS.
When I get that fixed I'll definitely play with you.

it really made me sad when they came out with the 2nd one because i was young and poor and couldnt buy it. plus it killed the multiplayer on tribes1 due to everyone switching over.

i didnt play too many games as a kid but this was definitely my favorite pc game
