Rosemary's Baby-Classic but penultimate horror film. Probably the earliest horror move (besides Psycho) that was actually scary to me.

A Tale of Two Sister-South Korean, manages to avoid many of the tropes that plague Korean horror. It's mostly scary because it concerns the horrible things people do to each other and how those acts can quickly spiral completely out of control.

From Within-This is one of those film festival horror movies, After Dark series I believe. While it is somewhat slight it has a strong story and some very creepy scenes.

House-Japanese horror from the 70s. It is more an exercise in ingenious film making than anything really scary but it is really a lot of fun.

Susperia-Easily the best Dario Argento in my book. What more can you say?

The Girl Next Door-I really can't say much about this other than it is probably one of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen, and it is based on a true story.

The original Nightmare of Elm Street movies were fantastic. Imagine having nightmares everytime you go to sleep. WTF? That sounds pretty horrific. What's a person to do? You have to sleep, afterall. The characters resort to burning themselves with cigarettes in order to stay awake, but they always fell alseep eventually.

to kako

if you like low budget acting and think that greek people are hilarious no matter what they are doing, this is the movie for you. bonus points if you can explain the fishing hook/wedding dress, because not only did i not understand what was going on, it didn't seem to bother the characters enough to even be mentioned at all

I just rented this, haven't watched it yet. It looks really good. Two big pluses are the facts that it stars Samuel L. Jackson and the story is by Stephen King. I'm looking forward to it... gonna wait til it gets dark.

the short story 1408 was terrifying, as I read it as a young man, stoned at 1AM. Shit was scurry as fuck.

Merc watch Tale of Two Sisters, it pwns and is on Netflix.

I wouldn't necessarily call this a horror film, but it sure scared the shit out of me as a kid!
