Is it possible to add space to a partition?
My buddy gave me his old desktop that he just reinstalled windows on. Problem is he installed windows on a partition with 5 gigs and it's constantly telling me its not got enough space.
I'm assuming the updates are taking up greater and greater portions. What do? |

I had the same problem. Only option that worked for me was formatting and re-installing.
For a lot of good that did. I came here to start a thread asking for help with my pos computer.

use an ubuntu live CD or USB and go into preferences->administration->GParted utility, its packged with most linux, you can resize any partition
just make sure youre not running the linux off your hard drive, you wont be able to reformat it
