Are you a gamer?
So apparently something like 2/3 of americans play video games every day...
I would be considered one of the other 1/3, I never play video games ever. I just don't find them enthrawling. It blows my mind that as I sit not playing video games, the majority of other people ARE playing video games. What's up with that? |

i should also clarify that these studies indicated that the average gamer is NOT a teenager or even in their early 20's... they are 30 something year olds and heads of households and families.
working men and women with families and homes are playing video games every single day!! |

I would enjoy them too much, and get nothing else done.

When I was 4 and I couldn't fit my hands around a controller, I got my mom to play video games so I could watch. I grew up playing video games.
I'm much more casual these days, but I will always be a gamer at heart.

![]() depends on who you ask. personally, something like 15 years ago I built my son his first computer just so he could play video games. He turned out alright.

A couple months ago there was this guy who moved into the apartment below me. One night I heard through the air vent this loud sobbing coming from his apartment. I let it go at first, thinking he was just retarded, but after a while I had to go knock on his door and ask if he was ok. He opened the door and tears were running down his cheeks and he was sniffling and I asked if he needed help and he said "No.... it's just this stupid game" and he pointed to his xbox. I left in complete bewilderment.

Also a friend of mine recently broke off her 3 year marriage with her husband because all he ever wanted to do was play video games every night after work....
My point is that guys who play video games are chumps; victims, if I'm honest. |

I'm a gamer but I play strategy games like Starcraft 2, which most certainly isn't brain-numbing.
Although I am fairly casual about it, my gaming desire comes and goes in spurts, and I've annoyed my gamer friends by going through month long stretches without playing anything.
