Batman Arkham City

So i downloaded this the other day just for fun cuz i have usenet and well...i can.

Installed it yesterday and started playing, and holy shit this is my game of the year by far. Im going to buy it and support the devs ASAP.

fuck skyrim, fuck old republic, this game right here is the shit. its a huge improvement on the last game which was also awesome.

if you have the ability and means, play this fucking game for your own good.

ps its also a pretty huge game and its open world so it will take awhile to beat.

PS- for those who havent played its like they took all the best parts of Metal Gear, combined with all the best parts of Assassins Creed.

the only negative I continuously read about from this game was the repetitiveness of the combat.

deff a game I will own at one point though.

The problem i had with arkham asylum was how slow and clunky batman was to control...did they fix that? because it was a deal breaker with the last one..

This was actually my main complaint with the original game. Its been fixed imo.

That can be an issue if you dont enjoy the combat system and you find yourself just running into combat without thinking of what you are doing. I find it fun as hell, personally. Moreover, combat can actually be avoided alot of times if you play with stealth and strategy.

In my opinion the controls are one of the strong points of the game. The combat system is more or less the same, but more responsive to counters and stuff. They give you this awesome bat grappling hook that lets you basically fly around the city like spiderman, so getting around the city is not only easy but fun as shit.

So far no control complaints from me. I do have a few camera complaints but thats mostly my own fault cuz im not used to inverted camera nor an xbox controller.

They really did take an amazing game and make it more amazing.

Is there not an option to switch off the inverted camera?

Arkham City was a really solid game.

It didn't break any new ground, and the story wasn't amazing imo.

It just worked so well, the combat was fun, the added gliding abilities were awesome.

I've really liked this arkham series so far.

It's a pretty damn good game but not much on replay value.

yea hard mode didn't appeal to me either, and the remaining riddler challenges were just pissing me off. i traded it in a few weeks after beating it.

its weird too considering they went open world this time around. they could have put in way more side challenges, alternate plot lines, etc.

i hate the riddler shit btw. its OCD gaming.

i had a blast beating this game on normal and this weekend while the girlfriend is away i will have a blast beating it on hard. it's been a few months since the first play through so it will seem like a familiar, fresh and more difficult batman experience. i for one am stoked!
