X3: reunion

Ive been playing this game for the past few weeks. Awsome space simulator game, aside from the optional story line, the point of the game is this: you start off with a tiny little space ship in a vast universe; you do various missions to make money (mostly trading and fighting) and then use that money to upgrade your ship and to buy bigger ships that can trade and fight better. After some time you can buy space stations that produce various goods, with dedicated freighters to buy raw materials and sell the goods. Eventually, its possible to have a huge trading empire with dozens of stations and hundreds of automated freighters servicing them, plus a fleet of combat ships ranging in size from a tiny light fighter to a huge carrier with a hundred heavy fighters to protect it, or go to war. You can even become a pirate outlaw and hijack ships to sell them and their cargo, or sell drugs and enslave captured pilots. Its also got an awsome pink floyd-esque soundtrack and lots of trippy visual effects.

I give this game 9 boners out of 10; it's around 10$ on steam and not too demanding on your system, so be sure to check it out, you will not regret it.

See if you can still torrent Boeing's 747 cbt (computer based training course).

I found it pretty interesting.

Hells yea I played X3 back in the day. Best space sim since Freespace 2
