Sherlock anyone?

Good show. Like how all the episodes are movie length, dislike how the British make all their shows end after 2 series. But I guess it's good to keep you wanting more than to ruin it.

Completely independent of this thread, I actually watched the first 2 episodes of this show not so long ago.

The basic premise is good I think, a modern intepretation of Sherlock Holmes.

I don't quite know if I buy it though. The guy playing Watson, why him? He always seems to be cast in these roles as whiney. He distracts me a bit.

I like Sherlock, but I don't buy this whole premise of "Science of deduction" since most of what he's doing is logical thinking, and a lot of his connections seems really far fetched.

I also don't enjoy the fact that watson so easily has gained accsess to crime scenes and the whole police process. Honestly, who the hell is he? They haven't really established him as a person worthy of sherlock's time.

Oh and when he brough his date along for the whole investigation I had to facepalm. What the hell was her business there?

Other than that I find the show a breath of fresh air, i especially like as terry noted the long episodes.

Ok.... so yesterday went to see the new movie that came out in December.
Good stuff.

SO... this gets my Wife talking. ''I think you'd really like the new one on BBC"

I thought of this thread.

Last night watched the first two shows.... AWESOME!

The way BOTH of them are played do really well, imo.

Sherlock is dramatic and over the top....
Watson IS whiny and reluctant up until he gets up to follow Sherly.

Robert Downey isn't a great Sherlock, although he's good at playing himself in the role of Sherlock....

The Sherlock that set the bar for me was Jeremy:

Here is an Episode if you'd never caught this brilliant one made by A&E back in the day,
