If we have to live in a hell, folks still need a drink of cool water once in a while, myself included. It might not be lasting change, but it provides some relief for a while and I believe one can never underestimate the impact a smile etc etc might have on someone's day in which they may go on to change other's day. You never know... you might be giving that extra little leg up to a person who can change the world in even more lasting ways?

This kind'a reminded me of the movie scene where the spoiled little bitch is screaming at her parents for buying her the wrong car that she didn't deserve. Not that articulate, but potentially cathartic if ya have a bitchy little teenager with entitlement issues I'll warrant.
