We both realize that people have a good and bad quotient or potential, we both are hopeful for the best, but I feel that my experiences in witnessing the preponderance of bad materializing, is a more accurate perspective of our shared reality. It doesn't mean that I think I am right and you are wrong, just that we have experienced life differently. My reality's existence does not depend upon invalidating or diminishing yours to exist. It just is what it is, just as yours is, and they are different, but yet they co-exist. Shit is just never that absolute, especially where people are concerned.

We just differ... and that's a good thing, 'cuz when reality gets me down, it always makes me feel better to look over and see that there are still a few hopeful folks left. Maybe feeling that way makes me the naive one, eh?

What we need is for you and me to sit down up on a mountain top with a big ol' bag of shroomage one weekend, and unravel the true meaning of man's existence once and for all. I think you and I could tackle that one in just a coupl'a days... wha'dya think?

Right on man

I'm glad there are still passionate people around who are willing to speak their mind (every time) cause it's sure a hell of a lot more interesting and beneficial to understanding different points of view.

Until that day we finally have our existential weekend, it's been great talking here and getting a better feel for your way of expressing yourself.

It's only been a couple of years since I had a solid conversion to the half full side of living as for a long time I was half empty, in my out look....

Or at times more on the take that fucking glass and smash that mother up against a wall and shatter it to bits...

So while there is at times that side of me that still shows and believes itself, I've found that I feel healthier and like I'm doing more to change the world with a positive out look.

If we have to live in a hell, folks still need a drink of cool water once in a while, myself included. It might not be lasting change, but it provides some relief for a while and I believe one can never underestimate the impact a smile etc etc might have on someone's day in which they may go on to change other's day.

You never know... you might be giving that extra little leg up to a person who can change the world in even more lasting ways?

This kind'a reminded me of the movie scene where the spoiled little bitch is screaming at her parents for buying her the wrong car that she didn't deserve. Not that articulate, but potentially cathartic if ya have a bitchy little teenager with entitlement issues I'll warrant.

All jokin' aside (and yes I am an idiot that is that easily amused), and in deference to our geographic and language differences, have you ever seen Keeping Mum, and did you find that rather dark humor funny... or just more gay?
