I'm still pissed off Inception was boring, but I'll give it a watch.

Sucked ass until the last hour, movie was slow as fuck, but showing how Robin came to be, and have Anne Hathaways fine ass as Catwoman made it pretty good.

It just didn't build tension properly. I speak of the last half hour or so of the movie, the great mind heist enacted. Jumping from location to location showing the progression of events isn't exciting when the threat and sequence of events is consistent and predictable throughout. You already know the movie wants to have their plan go off and then have you witness, outside of the dream, whether or not it actually worked. The plan wasn't going to all out fail, you knew that, without knowing it for sure because you can tell, you know 'they won't do it like that, it's not that type of movie'. So you know nothing significant will happen to key characters involved in the plan, which itself is also described to you prior to the scene.

Emotionally it was like experiencing going on a roller coaster that I'd already been on when I was younger, once again once I was older, knowing what was coming though not quite remembered exactly how it went, occasionally feeling like, 'oh yes I've felt this before I've seen that before that's kind of cool', but all of it a bit numb, less exciting, because I'm bigger and older now.

And then at the end of the ride, seeing that final turn coming up and remembering that feeling of the ride almost being over, and thinking, "wait for it they're gonna go to credits before the top can finish spinning" and then, "well that's over I'm gonna go get a corn dog now."

Anne Hathaway can be pretty hot though.

I mean an action movie needs a hot girl to balance all the raging testosterone.

Or does it further inflame it?

I'm not sure.

Either way, boner.

The Dark Knight disturbed me for weeks. The Joker was the most diabolical, maniacal, pure unadulterated evil role I've ever seen in my life (and Nolan/Ledger nailed it). His motives and clash with Batman spurred many late night talks with my wife about the motives of those who do evil acts, and while we both agreed that while it was scintillating and deep, it was also a realm that we didn't care to spend that much time in. We were thinking of seeing TDKR just to finish the saga, and then right when the shooting happened, we both agreed it was an energy we just didn't want to be involved in. From what I see from the reviews, I doubt I'll ever see it. I didn't even see Batman Begins, so I don't feel too bad about it overall.
