AK+ you have excellent taste!! Les Rallizes Denudes is definitely not the first thing I would expect somebody to up out of the blue - I've got a bunch of their Colors releases if you're interested, along with Field of Artificial Flower (may fave from them by far). And Lost Wisdom is fantastic...I'm in the process of grabbing the Low and Beat Happening stuff, so I thought I might put up some linkages in return.

I think I saw 1 other interpol album but here...

Interpol Discography contains their 3 full albums, all encoded at at least 192kbps, most are much higher with one album being totally encoded at 320kbps. Enjoy.

^ I must say that record is brilliant. Animal Collective is my favorite band so I've been looking forward to this for months. One of the best Christmas gifts I've ever gotten.

is that the 128 rip or the 160 rip?
I have the 160 rip if anyone wants it, it sounds loads better than the 128.

the new album is shear brilliance. most of my friends never really cared for the AC but are now seeing the light due to this album.

as for bitrate it varies around 200 kbps

hm, I go to the Animal Collective forum regularly, have been a member for over a year and the best quality we have found there is 160; where did you get this? are you sure it's not just transcoded?

either way we should have 320 etc. soon. comes out next week anyway. apparently the preorders shipped on the 23rd.

to me the sound quality is pretty good, but how would i be sure its not 'transcoded'?

I guess the only way you could be sure is if you listened to the 160 rip and compared it to the rip you have. transcoded just means someone took the 160 rip and re-encoded it at VBR 200.

I wouldn't bother though since it comes out in a week anyway.
