to me this album does not sound like it was released in 1995...

This scaffolding of loops and off grid tempos for choral style vocals offers a state of continual surprise, call it unexpectation.

That Mountain Goats album is good, nice up grieves.

Not a big fan upon first listen through. I really dug the progression between their first album which was typical TBS style nonsense (still listened though) to Deja Entendu which showed a lot of growth. Then out came The Devil... which furthered the nod to old school emo and was grand, now out comes this which I don't know how to feel about. Heard a solid song or two on the first listen, but wasn't too impressed. Honeymoon is over I spose.

Low vs Diamond - Laid back rock...

Gang Gang Dance - Awesome in every way imaginable

Kay Kay and his Weathered Underground - Blew off De La Soul for this one and I don't regret it one bit...On the EMP stage, they rocked the hometown crowd with a great set...

Cold War Kids - They played a pretty solid set for opening the main stage...

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Put on the show of the day, complete with giant eyeballs...

No Age - Loved every minute

The Helio Sequence - The Ex-Float on era Modest Mouse drummer and Harmonicas made this a nice mellow end to night two...
