Seriously, if I wanted to I could just throw the next gay guy I come across right up against a wall and give him an anal assault and he wouldn't complain one bit.

Day 3

Day 3 featured more hip-hop so their won't be as many but they are all goodins

The Devil Makes Three - Made it front and center for the santa cruz based bluegrass blues band...They were spectacular...

Akron/Family - Small stage in the rain = dope show...

Franz Ferdinand - Didn't have any expectations going in and was pleased with the energy...

Modest Mouse - Words can't describe, they played a bunch of old favorites, new songs, and great alternative versions of classics...

Y△CHT - See Mystery Lights

Pretty good, I got it on suggestion from a few music blogs.

Venetian Snares - Rossz Csillag Alatt Született

Electronica and classic orchestral music. One of my more recent favs

The Polyamorous Affair — Bolshevik Disco

80s synth pop, boiled down and refined into this album. Wouldn't say it's great, but there are def. a few gems in here and def. worth a listen.

She & Him - Volume 1

Indie/folk/country by Zooey Deschanel(the actress) & M. Ward. very good soulful kind of music. And the covers are spot on.

P.O.S - Never Better

Another great alt-hip hop musician from Minneapolis, this album still has elements of punk, but not as much as his earlier albums. Lyrically and musically it's very strong. I've been listening to, and suggesting this to people, a lot recently.

Noah And The Whale - Peaceful, the World Lays Me Down

2008 debut of Noah and the Whale, wins the Award for Most Upbeat Album About Heartbreak. Great summer album, even if every song is filled with strife and heartache.

Laura Marling - Alas, I Can Not Swim

Alt folk by a (then) 18 year old girl. She's an outstanding vocalist.

jj - jj n° 2

I'm not too sure how to describe this album... I just know it's splendid.

Gov't Mule - Live at Bonaroo 6/13/2009

Great set all around, but the main reason I uploaded this was for the rendition of Southern Man with guest vox by Grace Potter. So fucking good. Cover of Creep by Radiohead was pretty good too. Could have used some post-prod to bring out the highs more though.

GIRAFFES? GIRAFFES! - SUPERBASS!!!! (Black Death greatest hits vol. 1)

Someone introduced me to their other EP, More Skin With Milk Mouth and that really got me in to these guys. Non-definable in the traditional sense, these are a couple guys who love music and take it seriously without taking themselves too seriously. Instrumental.

Frightened Rabbit - The Midnight Organ Fight

Great indie rock album out of Glasgow. "The Modern Leper" is definitely one of the best songs of the year.

DJ Frane - Journey to the Planet of Birds(or Beats to Baze to, Vol 3)

All sorts of samples from spacey lounge sounds, jazz piano, electro funk, asian instrumentation, vocal clips of all sorts (jazz singer, robot, beat poet) and of course bird sounds. Definitely needs to be blazed to and listened to as a whole album. In fact I'm gonna do that right now.
If people want more I'll up the first two albums in his "Beats To Blaze To" trilogy.

Cloud Cult -Feel Good Ghosts (Tea-Partying Through Tornadoes)

This might be up here, already, Idk. I really like this album even though it didn't get great reviews. Really helps lift my spirits sometimes. Worth a listen for sure.

Beautiful Small Machines - Robots In Love EP

Indie/electro/pop, 17 minutes, very solid album with a good female vocalist
