Their music still kicks ass. I just don't like that "we can do this, but you shouldn't" message.

They use their platform to reach as many people as possible, if taking corporate sponsorship gets them there than so be it.. They did as much as they could through the grassroots, and when their message got to more and more people it was up to the record labels to either fight em or join em and they chose the latter, thusly allowing rage to get their message across to the masses... You are one of those sheep who think you are fighting for a just cause but have no idea what you are actually talking about...

They're basically embodying the enemy but they are talking like picketers. Which entity would you rather take the form of? Powerful rock star or lowly picketer? I'd rather take their physical position than their philisophical one. Period.

you know what i'm talking about, don't play stupid, stupid. you know that it's better to be a sell out rock star than to spend your life "raging against the machine". which one is more accomplished?

So any one with power or money is wrong?..is this not your message? Im confused and I believe most people here are confused on what your saying, or trying to say.
How else to you reach such a vast audience if your not popular?

Give me two examples of the embodying the "enemy"?

So according to Kandy, if you go up on stage in front of people, you are automatically a totalitarian/communist/Nazi? That makes alot of sense.

/sarcasm.

well you know, a powerful speaker is a powerful speaker any way you look at it. and they all say the same thing, this message is right and those messages are wrong and they all want you to believe it.

I don't think Rage's message told me to kill people... but maybe I missed something.

the only thing rage does support is getting rid of fascism and injustice. and it is rare to hear any dissident voices in our near fascist country, yet you compare them somehow to hitler for speaking out against injustice?

your so full of shit, and where the fuck is the picture of george bush. the really pathetic thing is that george bush isnt even a powerful speaker, yet the sheep still cling to him because he a stupid twat who will kill anyone to get more oil for the sheep of this country and make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

yea mercury keep telling yourself that ratm is hypocrites similiar to hitler. you are really right on the money there. i really do feel pity for ignorant conservative fucks whose heads are so far up their asses its painful.

^^basically what it comes down to is that rage has collectively been physically and verbally involved in more political activism and protest than merc will ever be....so really he has no room to talk about hypocrisy.

What a great band, I have a definite tender spot for them because I've been listening to them since I first became obsessed with music in the 7th grade. Plus Tom Morello is a god when it comes to guitar (in my opinion).
