^You ever associate an artist completely with a time period in your life? For me, Kool G was when I was little, and it's hard for me to listen to his stuff without reminiscing. And while I do occasionally, it's just not the same as puttin on a record you love just to vibe to. Make sense?

I do this a lot.

Sometimes it's kinda detrimental and listening to certain shit hurts. Kinda makes listening to Elliott Smith a little more sad, which I didn't think was even possible.

Anyway, back to hip hop. Just heard some shit today that I liked.

Keeley & Zaire (feat. Blu & Fortlive) - Some song I don't remember the name of

KEELEY & ZAIRE (feat. Blu, Fortilive) - Directed by Surreal |

Also there was a nice version of Waterline by Sage at the end of Pride And Glory.

I am actually pretty impressed as well scatterheart. not to be sexist, but I've never met a girl with 1/10th of your knowledge on hip hop, or, everything really.

I need to get out more.

Awesome album. His lisp gets to me every so often but he's an awesome rapper. Founder of multisyllabic rhyming pretty much. Speaking of which this thread needs some RA and Big L, I don't remember seeing any, I'll get on that.
if bye RA you mean RA the Rugged Man, saw him live with Jedi Mind Tricks 3 years ago, RA stole the fucking show my friend, got my shirt signed by him.

^smh

RA has a whack flow? granted all his shit besides crustified dibbs and the track with JMT was shit...

But still man you have no right to say that, RA is ill. Listen to the Crustified Dibbs Album and think again.

@myxo: Fucking love waterline. Kills me.
@slap - It's nothing to be impressed about. I love music. Fucking love it. I get really opinionated about what I like and what I don't like. "Music snob" perhaps? I don't know. Regardless, Sage is one of my top players of all time. Loved him all my life. Not to say he got me into hip hop, but he definitely made me realize it's not all the same track that you seem to hear from the mainstream "hip hop". It just happens to work out that I'm also a girlllllllll.
@geeno - persuade me

You are all nuts. RA's Die, Rugged Man, Die was a solid album. The best thing about him is the flow and the multisyllabic delivery.

Yeah, Waterline is certainly my favorite on the new album. Well, one or two come close, but his first two albums or Non-Prophets - Hope were much better.

Nice ups hyper.

Doom is also supposed to be coming out with Swift And Changable which is a project with him and Ghostface. Of course it'll probably come out when Detox does...
