Haha. Likewise man, that is the only One Be Lo that I have. I've seen him before and I'm pretty sure met him briefly, cool dude.

^^excellent tune from the soundtrack of slumdog millionaire

highly recomended

its like a blend of (old skool) Straight to hell from The Clash
with a touch of new style English-underground beat

I feel like that should already be in here, and if it's not I'm fairly certain a quick google will work. the roots + megaupload.

I don't mind torrenting it or anything.

I just don't know what that would be.

I hate "greatest hits" type albums.

my humble opinion on the roots: it's hard to rank the albums as they're all good but I would say start with:

the tipping point (solid top to bottom - web, star, stay cool, guns are drawn are all legitimately awesome tunes, rest are decent)
do you want more?!? (sentimental pick, first one i bought, great cd though)
game theory (b/c of my single fave roots song - clock with no hands)

Rising down I didn't even really like at first but it's growin on me. phrenology's good, things fall apart's good, and I feel like I have to listen to organix and illadelph again to make a fair assessment. Honestly your best bet is torrent the discography, listen all the way through and buy the ones you like, if you like some of their shit then you'll like most of it, if that makes sense.

And although I've yet to see them live, they fuckin rock live. How do I know, you ask? TheRootsLive.com // The Official Live Show Archive of The Legendary Roots Crew < that has mp3 archives of past live shows. when they play hip hop 101 or the ultimate, crowds rightfully lose their minds.

some of the stuff coming out of NC is pretty hot, like the JUSTUS league [9th, median, kaze, etc]-- like NC's answer to Native Tongues. I have some buddies in florida making some really wicked music too, Blacsoap.

Blac Soap on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

they're awesome, and awesome guys. really helped me and a couple buddies get into production. make some crazy music-- it's like old outkast X a million on the craziness, hahah
they sent one of my bands some beats to do tracks with a few years back, really awesome guys, real down to earth.
