ya, i would say you are wrong grieves. i love them, i just disagree. it's hard to nail it down with hip-hop because there are so many different, unique styles and variations. that's what i love about hip-hop. everywhere you go, people have their own unique take on it and what it should sound like.

on a side:
when one of my bands was getting some play on FM96 [peoples in southwestern ontario know what i'm talking about..], they kept saying we were like 'the WRONG version of the beastie boys' because of our back-and-forth rhymes and sense of humour and shit.

I would be hard pressed to find someone with such a similar impact on their genre than the beatles and the genesis of contemporary rock music vs. the beasties and the development/synthesis of what we now know as hip-hop...

You have proven during past discussions that you don't really grasp the full impact of what the Beatles did, so your opinion is appreciated but not really that credible in my eyes...If anyone wants to continue talking about this, including herb, find me in the random music thread, I don't want to clutter this one up with my shitty opinions..
