i'm pretty new to this kind of stuff as well. diplo is another cool one but in these genres i'm not too good at distinguishing the subtleties... so i'm not really sure how similar he is bongsmilie

I've got kind of a love/hate relationship with Loren.

First and foremost, I'm an electronic music fan. It's been the driving positive force in my life the last four years. There's nothing really special about him as a mixer/dj/musician, in my opinion. I think he's lazy. I think he could push the frontier more, and do some really interesting stuff.

But, as my friend Brian said during a debate over the man, he does bring people together. The synthesis of two scenes, of two areas of contemporary music, leads only to further diversification, in the fan-base as well as the sound. That I have absolutely no problem with. I fully support it.

Especially because it gets more people into electronica.

So, yeah, I'll probably never get that into him, but I appreciate what he's doing, mostly on the non-musicianship level.

(I've been a musician since age six, so I think I'm allowed to have an opinion)
