The Carter III...
Worried you a little bit?
Shit is aggressively terrible. The only exception is that Tie My Hands song with that idiot Robin Thicke. The rest of the album is such fucking garbage. People are eating it up too, even that wack ass ET song. |

il hear it soon, hopefully. but the fact that you are saying this worries me, yes

It was a totally different style than what i was expecting... more RnB and Club type shit.
I didn't mind a few.. Shoot me Down and Doctor Carter were good, but this album doesn't live up to "The Best Rapper Alive" at all. It's decent but true Lil' Wayne fans might be disappointed. |

Probably the millions of people anxiously awaiting the release of the album. 423,000 people bought it on day one so I'm going to wager a guess that they didn't see it coming.
I however figured it'd be terrible, and it was. |

Its an OK album but Fuck Kanye and David Banner. He needs to get back with Mannie Fresh. All there songs they made together always sounded good. There's still some decent songs though aside from a Millie and Lollipop which are just garbarge mainstream rap That I can't really respect. But I Really like Da Drought three. He has A Lot of very good songs. Don't let this CD speak for him.
Edit - O I forgot to mention most of his songs got leaked and he refused to put out any of the songs that people already had, besides a millie and lollipop. There's a lot of good songs I've heard that were labeled carter 3 but they just never made the final cut I guess. But if all of the songs that he made for this album were on it, it would be FIRE. for reaall

falling off quick?
do you have any idea how much good music he has made since the Carter back in early 2000s? as far as this album goes, i dig it.. its different. i think he grew as an artist, but the nigga is also on to many drugs. 3peat, dr carter, mr carter, phone home, tie my hands, gossip, im me, kush, misunderstood all fucking great songs. you either hate lil wayne cause i dont know, or you actually understand his word play and metaphors, and realize how great of a lyricist this dude is.. this is aidz/snowmayne on my bros account btw. we all know im a huge wayne fan, but i judge music by the music. his music speaks volumes. its deffinantly not some 13 year old home thug bullshit, or anywhere near an 08 vanilla ice.. do u know how long this guy has been killing it inbetween albums with mixtapes. theres not another artist in the game, probably ever, that has put out as much music this guy has, that has tons of people and critics feeling it. you dislike it, thats fine. you dislike it. we all have different tapes in music. but to say the dude sucks, i have no respect in your music opinion at all. Phone Home is a song with terrible lyrics, a mediocre (being nice) beat, and a god awful and obnoxious hook. Misunderstood is a disgusting appropriation of a Nina Simone sample. The lyrics: "what's understood ain't gotta be explained but you don't understand me so let me explain stood in the heat the flame, the snow, please slow down hurricane the wind blow, my dread swang he had hair like wool, like rain (huhh) dropping ashes in the bible i shake em out and they fall on the right fool scary, hail mary no tail fairy all real very, extraordinary" Seriously? Soooo deep. If you want to see the same sample put to decent use check Tie My Hands is an awesome track, the lyrics are a little silly sometimes, but otherwise, very solid track. Understand his metaphors? Who doesn't!? The only thing I don't understand about his metaphors is why he even bothers with them. Do you really think "wet like new rain" improves the song any? Great lyricist? "Work you out like bowflex" "tight like a pussy" Seriously? How about I write a song for him included are the metaphors "i'm hot like coffee" and "ice on my wrists cold like milk". While we're on the subject of lyrics, anyone want to explain to Wayne that a period isn't VD? "...venereal disease like a menstrual bleed". Also, the making up words "hayve...oops I meant have", "haybit...oops I meant habit", "sherbert him...oops I meant shame" shtick wasn't clever or cute the first time he did it, let alone the third. When you get out rapped by Kanye, something is wrong. Either way, I wouldn't go as far as to say the dude sucks, there are certainly much worse rappers. By the same token however, I wouldn't scoff if someone said he sucks, because the fact is he's walking that fine line. If you lose respect for my musical opinion that's fine, I'll just have to keep in mind that you love Wayne like a fat kid loves cake, to use another deep metaphor. |

Wait, when people talk shit they don't list positive attributes? You don't say! I admitted Tie My Hands was a good song, in fact, it was the only good song on the whole album, I even listed things I liked about it. |

You realize this is snowmayne and I have posted numerous youtube vids of wayne with nice shit.
and my bad, i realize you said the song was ok. what i fail to understand is that you've pointed out numerous times you don't like the guy, and I've stated I do, cant we just be friends? |
