Nah. Caught that post (and caught some jealousy lol) one day on my way out the door and been meaning to respond and haven't. I haven't gotten around to seeing them unfortunately and didn't realize they were on tour. Haven't really seen a show since, well, a while, aside from friends and such. Anyway, report back and tell me how amazing it was pretty please.

Ohhhh shit. Change 'some' jealousy to 'complete fucking overload' please. Word, sounds like an even better time than I originally imagined. Do it up!

Maybe common knowledge, perhaps already posted but this helps me out bunches, VinylTimes.com-Vinyl Record shows every show I have been to I have been able to find some cheap used goodies. Although I just frowned big time the other night after going to one and being super excited to find original Funkadelic One Nation Under A Groove in excellent condition. Came home and actually comprehended the sticker on the plastic wrap that said an album and a half of funk for single album price. I didnt get the half album, it contained maggot brain, just kind of sat there feeling shitty and empty for about 5 minutes, haa i take my maggot brain serious. But yeah check out the record shows!

Also I saw The Flaming Lips have a bad ass tie dye looking vinyl coming out on record store day this year. Only limited pressing being made each disc different, not sure my small town stores will get any copies but damn Im determined to find one.

Man, I tried pretty hard to grab that Flaming Lips LP, but no avail. Got to one shop at 9 and they were out, went to another and saw a line two blocks them for to open. Rats.
Did get some good ones Saturday though: Roy Ayers Ubiquity - Mystic Voyage, Sharon Jones - Naturally, Devo - Freedom of Choice, Ry Cooder - Chicken Skin Music, Primus - Frizzle Fry and Thundercat - Golden Age of Apocolypse (solo of bassist frequently collaborating with Erykah Badu and Flying Lotus) |
