I noticed there was a new El-P release, thats when I made it a point to get up on what he's been up to. That one right there is awesome, el-p is truly one of the best.

I need a fookin' job. Spiral Scratch burnt down a few months ago and they're opening up in a bigger location even closer to my house.
I haven't purchased any vinyl since my last update in this thread. I miss it so much. My collection is so sparse. I'm happy that I've got what I have, but I want moar!

Rolling Stone named my record store as number 2 out of 25 top record stores in the nation. Kinda unexpected and cool.
http://www.rollingstone.com/music/photos/28431/201795/1 ...And apparently my old favorite before they moved to a smaller building and kinda changed their collection is number 17. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/ph...8431/201795/16 |

I got right at 300 albums...
![]() It's impossible to name a favorite, I got so many...... Favorite album, not because I like the record? I would have to say a Johnny Cash a friend gave me, possibly his first, cause it says he's 19! LOL I couldn't name a favorite, I've got some classical, some bluegrass, some 60's, but the majority is hard rock. Def Leppard, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, John Fogerty, Scorpions, Pink Floyd, BlackFoot etc... I could go on and on.... And I 've got one or 2 Led Zeppelin I think that are unopened

Went to Hot Topic around Christmas to get my sister a present... apparently they sell records. Not much of a selection and even fewer there are good, but they got a bunch off the Doomtree label which I got my eye on. I think I found where my Christmas money is going to.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A.A. Bondy - American Hearts Band of Horses - Everything All The Time Dangermouse and Sparklehorse Present Dark Night of the Soul Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Jónsi - Go Nirvana - Bleach Panda Bear - Person Pitch Why? - Eskimo Snow Record Theatre had 20% off entire purchase on Thanksgiving so I went and hauled a few. Would have liked to get more, but their selection wasn't as good as Spiral Scratch's. Gonna go there later today to try and get my hands on a bunch of used records for cheap.

No doubt. I was hoping to get my hands on one of the 5,000 deluxe box sets with the book by David Lynch, but finding this was good enough. Maybe I'll get that in the future.
Up until recently, I've been storing my records in a magazine rack, but I've surpassed my storage capability and so I'm going to build a shelf. Found some plans online, gonna adjust them to fit my needs and get my DIY on. I was thinking of just buying a shelf but if I could spend < $45 on something I'm proud of(love working with my hands) instead of $150+ I've got to do it. Link to the plans. Went to the record store the other day with the lady. It was the first time I've bought anything in a long long time. Happened upon two records that I just had to have. First was the first official release of Below The Heavens by Blu & Exile. 2xLP limited edition hand numbered on blue vinyl with a bonus 7" inside. I got 22/3000.
Next was a This Will Destroy You single 7" on pink vinyl. ![]() ![]() Felt good. On a sidenote, I wish Blu would go back to putting out better shit. Such a goddamn good album and one of my favorite songs of all time on it. So good.

Nah. Caught that post (and caught some jealousy lol) one day on my way out the door and been meaning to respond and haven't. I haven't gotten around to seeing them unfortunately and didn't realize they were on tour. Haven't really seen a show since, well, a while, aside from friends and such. Anyway, report back and tell me how amazing it was pretty please.

Ohhhh shit. Change 'some' jealousy to 'complete fucking overload' please. Word, sounds like an even better time than I originally imagined. Do it up!

@ Myx - On that pink 7" - what did you think of that Holy Other mix?
