Black Mountain...

...is another band fronted by Stephen McBean (The Pink Mountaintops). They are also quite amazing. A bit more direct rock sound and some female vocals thrown in. Might have heard their song Stay Free as it made the Spiderman 3 soundtrack. The albums are again pretty different with the second having a much more spacey psych sound with obvious throwbacks to Sabbath and things of that nature in the riffing. Soon enough I'll have the newest EP and I'll throw that in here too but for now these two albums will have to do.

I've got Into the Future, found in at the library. It's on a Vancouver record label, so I'm sure I've missed them several times in Van

I'd say I dislike one song, like the majority of them, and really like two. It's a decent listen for just uploading it from the library.....I've seen some youtube stuff and I could get into seeing them live.

The label in question is Jagjaguwar which is home to Bon Iver and McBeans other band the Pink Mountaintops.

Grab it all some time, if you like In The Future you should like the others.

Weird, always heard of it being out on Jagjaguwar, which is their current (and only as far as I had thought) label.
